Winter Update

12/14/17 by John Ozmore

I spent forty days in the wilderness along the Ozark Highlands Trail in celebration of finishing my novel, and to clear my mind. I had a great time and want to do another thru-hike in the future. After the holidays I will be finishing up the sequel to "The Blood of Winter" and will add updates of my progress when relevant. Enjoy these photos of the strange and beautiful things I experienced along 200 miles of trail in the Ozarks.

Made it back from the Ozark Highlands Trail. 200 miles and 39 days. My first hot shower in forty days was fantastic. I took many pictures and plenty of video. I will be editing a short documentary on my trip soon and adding photos.

Spring Update

04/26/17 by John Ozmore

The Blood of Winter is a dark fantasy about a soldier with the premonition of Death trying to stop a brutal king from spilling enough blood to awaken ancient demons that will end the world. Things are moving along and I am half-way through the sequel to finish this two-part series. I know where the story is going and can't wait to unleash the Demons of Lost Souls onto the world.

Winter Update

12/14/16 by John Ozmore

Editing and more editing. Things are still moving along and "The Blood of Winter" will be ready for the consumption of fantasy and horror fans soon. I am in the final stages with my editor to add the finishing touches and am currently looking for representation from literary agents interested in fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and literary works for current and future projects.

National Geographic

07/22/15 by John Ozmore

From getting caught in flash floods, to funerals, to getting a photo published online in a National Geographic story, things have certainly been interesting. The writing has been slow as I struggle through a first draft, but I have been editing and getting many things done. My art is now hanging at the Frisco bar in Downtown Rogers, Arkansas, and you can see my photo in the National Geographic "Tree of Life" story.

I have moved into an art community and am currently working on a new project (Think Office Space meets Army of Darkness and Stargate). The Blood of Winter is in the hands of an editor and I am finishing up some final edits on yet another project titled, Where Gods go to Dream. Everything is moving in the right direction and I expect to start getting my work out to the public in the near future.
